Trout and toasted almond is one of the solid French classic.
So simple, yet so delicious.
All we need is fresh Sea trout. Enjoy with Baby gem Salad.
Serve 1 as a Main.
Add a dash of olive oil to a non-stick frying pan and place on a medium to high heat. Once hot, season the fillet and add to the pan, skin-side down.
To achieve flat, golden brown and crispy skin, press the fish with a spatula for 15 seconds (please refer to video) and Cook for about 7mins until half of the fillet cooked. Turn the filet over and fry for about 20 seconds (Please refer to video. We cooked Rosé )
Remove from the pan and allow the fish to rest for 3mins.
(Fish will continue to cook while resting, do not overcook)
Green beans, Tomatoes
As trout rests, warm the garnishes in the same pan and place on the bottom of serving plate.
Now turn off the heat and gently toast your almonds in the same pan if you want to heat up.
It’s already toasted, so you can serve as it is.
Place trout on the garnishes and decorate with
Toasted Almonds, Lemon and
Parsley & Shallot Vinaigrette creatively.
