The white wine, shallot and butter sauce with the steaky fish is a beautiful combination. Serve it with the popping pearl barley and the sweet carrots.
Serve 1 as a Main.
The cod has been Vac-packed with extra virgin olive oil, thyme and garlic right after fillet.
Heat a frying pan over a medium heat, then place the fillets skin-side down.
Cook for 4-5mins each side.
(Fish will continue to cook while resting, off the heat just before it's done)
It is ready to eat when you can easily insert toothpick into the thickest part.
Once the cod is cooked, let it rest for 5mins and reheat your garnishes.
Reheat in a frying pan or put them in the oven when the cod is almost cooked.
Reheat in a 40% heat microwave for 1-2 mins depending on the size of the portion.
This butter based sauce is very sensitive!
Reheat in a 40% heat microwave for 5 seconds and constantly check on it.
Pay attention not to overheated it.
The sauce may turn transparent, don’t be alarmed! This is the nature of reheating butter based sauces without any added artificial ingredients.
